While artificial intelligence is being widely adopted in various functions in organizations, its use in HR and recruitment process in India is still in the initial stages. Over the years, organizations have faced challenges in finding, securing and retaining the right talent for the right job. However, adoption of AI recruitment can play a major role in addressing these challenges and improving the talent acquisition process.

There are several ways in which AI enabled tools can streamline processes and automate high-volume tasks in the recruitment process like auto-screening the resumes. Often, organizations receive a huge number of applications for an advertised position and it can be extremely time consuming to sort them and find the relevant ones. AI enabled recruitment database software can eliminate this challenge by using the relevant keywords and other data points for sorting, searching and analyzing applications easily.

AI recruitment has helped the recruitment process to move from an intuition-based process towards a more scientific and data driven approach. It not only speeds up the process but also allows flawless matching between job seekers and positions, based on their skills and experience. AI based recruitment management software can help the talent acquisition teams to define what a successful employee in a specific role has done and find candidates with similar backgrounds to fill similar positions. AI recruitment has also improved candidate experience drastically with the help of tools like chatbots. The modern-day bots are capable of providing quality answers to both simple and complex queries and can help in collecting candidate information and even schedule interviews. This has led to a dramatic improvement in candidate as well as HR recruiter experience. Timely feedback and updates with the help of these tools prevents candidates from falling out of the loop and staying connected through the recruitment process.

One of the biggest benefits of AI recruitment is that it helps HR recruiters save time on administrative tasks and leaves them enough time to have quality interactions with top candidates. While AI recruitment can be extremely helpful in cold sorting candidates based on criteria set by the potential employer, it cannot replace human recruiters. Artificial intelligence is more of an advanced labor-saving aid rather than a replacement of human intelligence. It leaves the HR recruiters with enough time to focus on building relationships with quality talent and hiring managers, and making sure that the organizations get the right talent for the right job.
