AMD Commits $400M for India’s Largest Design Centre; Aims to Recruit 3,000 Engineers

The semiconductor firm with over 6,500 employees in India, aims to set up its largest design center, recruit 3,000 engineers, and expand its presence across key cities in the country.

AMD, a global semiconductor company, recently announced its ambitious $400 million investment plan for continued growth in India. Commencing this year, the company will establish a new design center in Bangalore, India, which will be its largest yet, bringing 3,000 engineering job roles by 2028. 

The new office in Bangalore will include spacious lab facilities, advanced collaboration tools, and customised seating arrangements to foster team collaboration. This investment aligns with the Government of India’s policy initiatives aimed at fostering growth in the semiconductor industry.
