Sumit Sarabhai, Business Head, TeamLease Services Ltd speaks to India Employer Forum about salary variants in permanent and temporary jobs, salary growth rates, the rise of new jobs and upcoming jobs, top paymasters, increased demand for talent and more.
He said, “The impact of global layoff across Industries is a decent one, considering the challenges faced due to the pandemic and the complete dynamics which changed post-pandemic. While some Industries like Healthcare experienced great opportunities and growth, there was an impact due to global layoffs. Although the impact in India was far too less in terms of percentage if you compare globally.”
“Also, I think the salary increase across industries could be considered positive as it suggests some level of growth and indicates that the organisations are recognizing the value of the employees. With so many things happening around, I think the growth in salary is a positive indicator and this will set the tone for the future too and will build the confidence of the market.”
