What are the skills you need to get hired in 2021?

Microsoft-owned professional networking platform LinkedIn said that hiring levels across have touched pre-pandemic levels in India, on the back of demand in sectors such as technology, consumer goods, finance and construction.

In its year-end report on India, LinkedIn said that 40% of Indian professionals expect an increase in the number of new jobs, while 53% expect their companies to do better in the next 6 months. The hiring rate continues to recover steadily back to Pre-COVID levels with a 46% y-o-y growth as of October 2020.

“Overall, the workforce in India is cautiously optimistic. The hiring levels across are at a pre-pandemic level and have recovered broadly. While technology has a big share, other industries like consumer goods, finance and construction are also gaining traction post the pandemic. The competition for these jobs is very high, people may have to reskill and acquire more skills,” LinkedIn India country manager Ashutosh Gupta told ET NOW in an interview on Friday.
