Jeyamalini Natesan, CHRO, Aliaxis speaks to India Employer Forum about the talent acquisition strategies for attracting skilled talent, emerging roles in the industry, infant attrition,  and more.

She said, “Today, HR heads or talent acquisition heads are thinking about, “How do I meet the business requirement by providing our businesses with the right people at the right time and with the right talent?” Let’s understand, there is a war for talent. So many industry specific opportunities are growing. There are a lot of people more qualified and there is quick consumption of talent. So it’s become a very competitive landscape in terms of bringing in talent and also in terms of retention of talent”.

“Aliaxis is no different in terms of attracting talent, but our strategies in terms of grooming talent from within the organisation, from being able to attract a diverse pool, is different. We are not very restricted to the industry. We believe that being diverse in thought process brings a very productive work culture, and therefore, we experiment with talent from across different industries. We already have 8000 people across India operating out of all the regions, and therefore, attracting talent also becomes a bit of a challenge because we have factories which are also remotely located. Therefore, we are constantly in the market talking to campuses. We also have a lot of partners in talent acquisition who are working within the organisation and also from outside of the organisation. We are tapping the market constantly to look at people, connecting with business forums, etc to know who is doing what, and therefore we are able to tap the right talent at the right spot, and therefore, our business is quite happy with our strategies.”
