Employee Experience Step-Up With Technology

All companies invest in customer experience but now as they realize that employees are their greatest asset they are investing in employee experience as well. A good customer experience makes it easy for customers to get acquainted with the company and access its goods and services. Similarly a good employee experience makes it easy for employees to perform their tasks and duties. The better the employee experience is the better the employees will perform over the long run.

There are many ways that existing technology can help improve the employee experience at a company. By using technology to improve following HR processes and functions companies can enhance employee experience.

On-boarding process: On-boarding of employees is one of the most important of HR functions. It is the first taste of company culture for the newly hired employees. But in many companies the on-boarding process is not given much importance and is handled either by the head of the company or by some employee who has many other responsibilities. That leads to the on-boarding process not getting enough attention. But through automated HR platforms like PulseHRM, this process can be made easy and the people in charge of handling the process can focus their energy on more human elements of the process.

Communication: Good communication is vital for any company’s smooth functioning. Ineffective communication can leave employees feeling stressed and unable to function properly. So any issues with communication must be given proper attention. There are various tools available at most company’s disposal like Slack, outlook, Zoom, etc. It is important to not use too many of such tools which would end up confusing the employees. So the firms should keep it simple and use any one or two of such tools only.

Flexible work arrangement: There is a big gap between employee and employer mentality when it comes to flexible work arrangements. Most employees want flextime but only a few get this benefit. This is mainly due to the long held misconception that out of office employees are less productive. But the pandemic has proved this to be a myth with almost all the workforce working remotely at some point or another. With the help of softwares like Monday.com and Slack, employees can work from anywhere and be fully connected.

Collaboration: Just like communication, collaboration is absolutely essential for proper functioning of any enterprise. With tools like ClickUp and Asana, companies can make sure that the projects are completed on time. And in the current situation of remote work, such tools are absolutely necessary for all organizations. Most of the employees acknowledge that ineffective collaboration is a major cause of failure in business. So there should be no hesitation in using the tools that make collaboration easier.

Compliance: One of the key roles of the HR department is bridging the gap between company’s growth objectives and compliance practices that influences activities such as hiring, employee development and retention. There is a technology available in the market that ensures worker compliance through digital means instead of requiring face to face meetings for every little thing.
