IIT Madras (IIT-M) has signed a memorandum of understanding with Robert Bosch Engineering and Business Solutions (RBEI) to offer internships to exchange students coming into IIT-M.
IIT Madras and German university RWTH Aachen offer a dual degree program, with student-exchanges between the two institutes. The exchange students are expected to go through an industry internship in both Germany and India. RBEI has agreed to accept the exchange students for internship in data analytics and artificial intelligence. The focus areas include AI and data analytics as well as manufacturing, automobile engineering and bio-medical engineering, among others.

The MoU was signed on the sidelines of an event commemorating the decades-long partnership between the two universities, during which a science delegation from the German university, led by its rector Ulrich Rüdiger visited IIT-M. Several events, workshops and strategic discussions are being held from Monday to Wednesday at IIT-M to enhance this collaboration.
