High-profile Indian Techies Flooded With Overseas Job Offers For Remote Work As WFH Becomes Effective

New Delhi: Technology professionals in India are now getting more offers for remote work from global employers as work from home (WFH) became the new norm after the COVID outbreak.

The Economic Times citing several companies which help hire high-profile tech talent, mentioned in a report that demand has gone up two-three times from pre-pandemic levels, as more companies are now convinced that work-from-home indeed works.

Hiring companies like Instahyre, Interviewbit, Rocket, Techfynder, CIEL HR Services and Pesto Tech said firms from the US, Europe, Australia and the Middle East were now hiring, especially for contract roles.

Hiring sentiment was dull in March, April and even May due to lockdowns in place globally, but it has since picked up. The number of applications and people hired have more than trebled in July-September compared with the previous quarter, the business daily quoted Sarbojit Mallick, cofounder of Instahyre as saying.
