Wistron To Step Up Investments In India With R&D Unit Near Bengaluru Airport

Taiwanese electronics giant Wistron, a contract manufacturer of iPhones for Apple, has offered to step up investments in mobile and hardware manufacturing in and around Bengaluru, Deputy Chief Minister CN Ashwath Narayan said on Thursday.

The firm has also evinced interest to set up its R&D facility in Bengaluru. The government has offered the company space at its aerospace park near the international airport in Bengaluru.

Deputy CM CN Ashwath Narayan, who holds the IT portfolio, briefed reporters about Wistron’s investment plans after the Wistrong Group director V.Lee called on both Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa and himself.
